REAL TREES
We pride ourselves on the wide selection of varieties and sizes real trees we offer. From the traditional Spruce, to the needle-retaining Fir and the sculptural Lodgepole Pine, there is a tree to suit almost every situation. Our trees are selected for quality and are all from sustainable forests. We even offer a delivery service in East Lothian.

FRASER FIR (Abies fraseri)
An evenly-shaped, conical tree, this tends to be selected for fragrance and its dense, slim habit. Rapidly becoming our best-seller.

NORDMANN FIR (Abies nordmanniana)
This beautiful, dark green, luxurious tree with well clothed, graceful sweeping branches has been popular for many years. Wider habit.

NOBLE FIR (Abies nobilis or procera)
The aptly-name Noble has a very structured, erect habit. Branches tend to be widely spaced. A real connoisseurs’ tree, often with a bluish tinge.

NORWAY SPRUCE (Picea sitchensis)
Once the traditional favourite in the UK, its prolific needle-drop has resulted in declining popularity in recent years. Best suited to cool or outdoor situations.

LODGEPOLE PINE (Pinus latifolia)
With longer needles and more upright, open, growth, the pines have a very individual, often irregular, shape.

Every tree is different, so personal selection is recommended.

ARTIFICIAL TREES
As with our real trees, we offer an excellent range of artificial trees. Traditional green, cool white, funky pink or sophisticated black; these are just some of the colours we offer in a range of sizes from table-top to 10 feet high. You can even choose to have your tree pre-lit so you don’t have to worry about strings of lights.

LIGHTS
As for our lights, the choice seems endless – white lights, coloured lights, shaped lights, indoor lights, outdoor lights, traditional lights, energy-saving LED lights, short strings, longs strings……. and more!

FIBRE OPTICS
Christmas hardly seems complete without some of the amazing fibre-optics available nowadays! Whether it’s a little table-top tree, an animated snowman or you collect the Christmas Village scenes, we have a great selection here at Merryhatton.

DECORATIONS
Since we have the biggest selection of Christmas trees in East Lothian it seems sensible that we should also have the largest selection of Christmas decorations –red, gold, silver, green, blue, purple, white and everything in between – even lime and orange are available from our huge range this year!

CHRISTMAS WREATHS & GARLANDS
As with our trees, we offer a wide selection of real and artificial. Our wreaths are all hand-crafted in the garden centre, so can be made to order to suit your requirements.

SANTA CLAUS*
Of course no Christmas is complete without Father Christmas, and he takes time out of his busy schedule to visit the Garden Centre very Saturday and Sunday afternoon in December. This year he will be at Merryhatton on

Saturdays and Sundays, 5th & 6th, 12th & 13th and 19th & 20th December between 2.00 and 3.30pm
