Located in the beautiful East Lothian countryside, Merryhatton Garden Centre is surrounded by many of the special attractions that make East Lothian a favourite place to visit. With numerous visitor attractions, historic castles, beautiful beaches and famous golf courses just minutes from our garden centre, visiting Merryhatton is an ideal part of a great day out.

In the immediate vicinity, you'll find the National Museum of Flight, home to Concorde.  If you fancy taking to the skies, across the road is East Fortune airfield, home to Scotland's longest established microlight company, East of Scotland Microlights.  And every week, there's the ever-popular East Fortune Sunday Market.

If you're looking for a great place to stay in this part of East Lothian, East Fortune Farm's caravan/motorhome sites and luxury holiday cottage are just minutes away.

Opening hours
The garden centre is open from 9.00am to 5.30pm every day.  The cafe is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm. (Last hot food orders by 4.30pm).

 Visiting Merryhatton Garden Centre, East Lothian, visitor attractions

From Edinburgh: From the A1 south, exit at Abbotsview Junction. Take the second exit from the roundabout onto the A199 for East Linton. After approximately 2.5 miles, turn left onto the B1347. Merryhatton Garden Centre is around one mile after the National Museum of Flight on the B1347.

From the south: follow the A1 north to Thistlycross Roundabout. Take second exit to East Linton. At Beltonford Roundabout take second exit onto A199 for East Linton. After approximately 6 miles, turn right onto B1347 and follow the signs for the National Museum of Flight. Merryhatton Garden Centre is around one mile after the National Museum of Flight on the B1347.

Opening hours
The garden centre is open from 9.00am to 5.30pm every day.  The cafe is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm. (Last hot food orders by 4.30pm).

Open as normal on Tuesday 27 December. Early closing on Friday 31 December: 3.30pm for the cafe, and 4pm for the garden centre. Closed on Sunday 1 January and Monday 2 January. Back to normal on Tuesday 3 January.
 

Accessibility
We have designed Merryhatton to ensure everyone can enjoy what we have to offer. The indoor and outdoor areas of our garden centre, and our café are all on one level.  Our toilets are also fully accessible.

Pedal power
If you're enjoying the beautiful East Lothian countryside by bike, the cafe at Merryhatton is a great place to stop off, stretch your legs and refuel. Just hitch up your trusty steed to our new bike stand in the car park, then relax and recharge with a tasty snack.
